Spoleto Fantasy Play, in collaboration with Ubik Spoleto and the association Gli Skizzati, presents a major comics event that brings together workshops, contests and Artist Alley.Join the Comics Workshop & Live Contest: learn to draw guided by tutors and masters while your work is evaluated through to the announcement of the winner. There's also a Home Contest, where you can submit your pages to be judged by international artists. The same jury will be present at the festival to award participants and meet the public. Artists will also be the protagonists of the Artist Alley. Here emerging and professional artists can exhibit and share their works.A unique opportunity to learn, get involved and experience comics as protagonists.

Un weekend intensivo dedicato all'arte del fumetto: due giorni di sessioni guidate, due livelli per ogni tipo di disegnatore, un'unica grande opportunità per mettere alla prova il tuo tratto. Che tu stia muovendo i primi passi o voglia affinare uno stile già tuo, il laboratorio è lo spazio giusto per crescere...e per gareggiare.

Two levels available

BeginnerFor those approaching drawing for the first time or with little practice. Starting from the foundations: lines, composition, characters.

AdvancedFor those who want to enhance their style, deepen narrative techniques and take their drawing to the next level.

Home Comics Contest

Is comics your passion?Would you like to test yourself?Great! Because during Spoleto Fantasy Play you will have the chance to put yourself to the test!

How?Very simple: prepare a 5-page story. With a "free theme" (whatever you like!) and in the graphic style you prefer (manga, American, realistic, humorous, etc.) in black and white or colour! Our super jury of artists will evaluate it. The best will be awarded in our beautiful Spoleto.

To make the competition more exciting there will be two age categories: Under 15 and Over Plus! So a contest for the youngest and one for the oldest. Double category also means double prizes! Obviously "professional" authors already published by publishers are excluded from the competition. So start preparing paper and pencils!

Enrique Breccia

Internationally renowned cartoonist & illustrator

Enrique Breccia is an internationally renowned Argentine cartoonist and illustrator, son of the celebrated comics master Alberto Breccia. Throughout his career he has collaborated with major European and American publishers, distinguished by a powerful and experimental painterly style. Among his most notable works are Alvar Mayor and collaborations with publishers such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics. His work has helped renew the visual language of contemporary comics, making him one of the most acclaimed authors internationally.

Roberto Savarese

Italian cartoonist & illustrator

Roberto Savarese is an illustrator and cartoonist born in '89 who, after graduating from the Scuola Internazionale Comics, continued his training in the studio of Mauro Laurenti (Bonelli artist). He debuted with a short story for Prankster Comics, then collaborated with several international publishers: Lenovation Press (USA), Comick Watch (Belgium), Studio Atlas (USA). Since 2023 he has worked for Editoriale Aurea drawing the historic character created by Robin Wood: Dago, for Lancioatory and in the regular series. In 2024 he worked for French publisher Pëtit à Pëtit, illustrating the volume "La grande histoire de l'alpinisme".

Alessio Nocerino

Cartoonist & illustrator active in the contemporary comics scene.

Alessio Nocerino is an Italian cartoonist and illustrator active in the contemporary comics scene. His work stands out for a dynamic and refined style, with collaborations in publishing and projects related to the world of illustrated storytelling. Throughout his career he has participated in various artistic and cultural initiatives dedicated to comics. Through his works he explores stories and visual languages that combine technique, creativity and passion for the ninth art.

Alessandro Vitti

International cartoonist and founder of the creative arts academy in Modena

Alessandro Vitti è un fumettista italianodi origini tarantine, molto apprezzato con una carriera che dura da oltre due decenni. Noto per la sua narrazione dinamica e le sue opere complesse ed espressive, le sue opere sono apparse su numerosi titoli di alto profilo per importanti editori, tra cui Marvel, DC, AWA, Top Cow, Skybound e Ghost Machine. Il suo lavoro è ampiamente riconosciuto per la sua energia cinematografica, i personaggi espressivi e gli ambienti ricchi di dettagli. Oltre al suo lavoro da fumettista è fondatore dall'Accademia delle Arti Creative di Modena, la prima realtà a fare del Fumetto e dell'Illustrazione, degli strumenti formativi e pedagogici.
